Bullied

When I was about the age of 10 my classmates bullied me, they were making fun of me because I was fat and was not able to run or play outdoor games. I got addicted to smoking and alcohol at a very young age. I was put out of 2 schools in my 8th after which I completed 8 to 10 in 2 other schools. My dad passed away when I was in 10th and he was the only person who understood me. My mom was too busy to take care of me because of her work. In my 10th I was still bullied by my classmates even though I changed my school. This time my classmates really hated me a lot. One day I got into a verbal fight with my teacher. She was a young woman about the age of 25 and she was smart. She always pointed at me in class in front of others and she cracked a small joke which was not funny at all, but my classmates made fun of me. One day when I went to her cabin, she said that I had to stand up for myself and no one would help me so I got angry and slapped her In front of the other teachers for talking like that. But she was the only teacher who did not throw me out of class or took me to the principal. So, after I slapped her, I was at a pause to just imagine what I just did and at that moment I understood what I did was completely wrong. I just ran out of the office and the school itself. I ran to get a smoke. There were cops there to catch students who smoked so I had to run to another place. When I was running, I felt a buzz in my bag and it was my phone which I was not allowed to carry in school but I still did it. It was my mom and she said my teacher called her to say that I was going to come back home. I don’t know at that moment what happened but I ran back home. My teacher had not complained to my mom. Next day at school my teacher called me to her cabin. There was a listening centre and she took me there. We talked for a while, not about what happened but about some anime which she watched and we both talked about it for quite some time. She sent me back to class after the talk. By this time the entire school knew what had happened. I attended class and after class that same teacher said let’s meet in the listening centre again.so after class I went back to the listening centre. I saw the Principal of our school and thought to myself that “that’s it” but for my surprise nothing happened. My Principal, my teacher and I were just talking about what problems I have faced. I felt comfortable talking to them. I have never seen my Principal like that ever in my life and believe me I have been to 4 different school in the past 4years. They didn’t put me out of school but they said if I passed in my 10 exam and if I quit smoking and drinking, they would give me some money. I did it. I was called to the principal’s office almost every day and I was asked if I started again and other class problems. I was tutored by the same teacher I slapped in front of other teachers and I managed to pass my 10th exams. After exams my Principal called me back to the school and they said that they would pay for my PU study material. I got a seat in commerce in a decent college and my teacher and Principal paid my entire book charges. Currently I am a CA final student who is self-motivated to do good for society and towards others. I am also a motivational speaker to myself when I feel low. Thank you secret Sharz for giving this opportunity to share my story anonymously.
